Analytics
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) organized in a logical fashion called dashboards provide the business with real-time insights that are actionable to drive desired business outcomes… this is critical for survival in this tough competitive up and down world of talent shortages and retention challenges we live in.
A lot of Leaders want Analytics Dashboards, but do not have take the time to get the data model right or understand the importance of having completed P5T in advance, nor make selection criteria for vendors integrations of technology a serious requirements to not only make it near to real-time, but also alleviate a Reporting Analyst or Manager form spending a lot of time splicing data together or trying to make sense of the data.
An end to end data model is critical for this to succeed, but it requires planning, people, programs, policies, processes and technology to be playing together in the proverbial sandbox nicely or you won’t have the end to end data model and data availability required to support the intelligence you need to run your business function properly.
Did you know that in TA (Talent Acquisition aka Recruiting) alone, the average number of technologies in a tech stack is between 6-10?! If they are not integrated bi-directionally and real-time that creates a latency challenge.
If you do not have an end to end seamless workflow strategy implemented across all of these, that creates a challenge in adoption, data entry and ultimately data reliability. BI tools can pull from many different data sources, but if the data sources are not normalized with each other in an end to end data model, or some data is missing in the data set, then it creates a mapping challenge and breaks formulas behind KPI’s and SLA’s.
